Just wanted to share with you all that Al & I went to that Tantra Seminar and we have not felt so close to one another like we do after the last day and a half since we lived in Utica 6yrs ago. We've come to realize certain things about ourselves, things we knew but can now put a name with now, understand about ourselves. For instance, he was talking about how men are and that they always function in their left brain while women are always using both sides of our brain. But some of the things he was describing of men, he was also speaking of me and I am female. I spoke with him about it and also some things he was speaking of about females Al has and that makes us work because it rounds us out. He said before I spoke to him that there is always a 10% of females that may have the tendencies of men and vice-a versa. This man said that it is the men who want to head for the caves in emotional conflict, arguments and the women wants to talk it out work it out. Well in mine and Al's relationship I am the one looking to head for the caves and Al is the one who tries to make me stay and finish. I need to get away for a bit and prepare myself for this. Men are usually the ones who need to prepare for a discussion that involves emotions and he suggested that it may help for we as women to let the men know ahead of time of something that may need some discussion that may lead to emotions so they can prepare themselves ahead of time. In our case maybe Al should do the same with me, lol. I also told this guy that sometimes this is what comes between us too because I was the oldest in my family, I was their protector, brought up in a neighborhood full of boys(@ 13 my mother told me)I couldn't play football with the boys anymore). I was pretty much left to myself because I was the oldest and I was doing fine in school very good grades. I went into the USMC and their test showed that I was mechanically inclined and was trained to work on Hydraulic/Pneumatics on OA-4M jets. And I loved it! BUT this threatens men because he says they are always in the fear of not being competent. Al does not particularly like it LOL when I question him on something mechanical because he is very inclined in that respect himself.
